Meet Megan
Hi, I'm Megan Yoder, founder of MY Events LLC, corporate event planner, detail-obsessed creative, and lifelong lover of celebrations!
My journey into the world of events began with my daughter’s first birthday party. What started as a labor of love quickly sparked a true passion, and I realized just how much I enjoy dreaming up beautiful, meaningful experiences. While I’ve always had a natural knack for planning, that milestone event lit the spark that eventually became MY Events.
I earned my degree in Advertising from Michigan State University and spent over 13 years working at a private country club as the Clubhouse, Events, and Membership Manager. I truly loved the relationships I built with our members and staff, and it was there that I really honed my skills managing everything from large events to intimate gatherings. Today, I work full-time as a corporate event planner for a local foundation — blending logistics, creativity, and mission-driven impact.
I strive to provide a personal, boutique experience for every client and event — with a deep focus on thoughtful details and elevated execution that set us apart. There’s nothing better than seeing happy clients, hearing positive feedback, and receiving referrals from those who’ve experienced the magic firsthand.
Outside of work, I stay busy volunteering on several boards including the Susan L. Canole Foundation, Kappa Alpha Theta Advisory Board, and as the CTE Culinary Chair. I’ve also supported amazing causes like Barn Sanctuary, the Cheff Center, and YWCA by donating decor and event support.
When I’m not cheering on my daughter at horse shows or working on our next big event, you can find me baking, or traveling with my family.

Meet Josh
Event Assistant
Megan and Josh’s friendship spans over 20 years, starting with their very first job together in the golf shop at Klinger Lake Country Club. After college, when Megan moved back to Michigan, they found themselves again working side-by-side at KLCC, this time in the clubhouse, for over 13 years.
By day, Josh is a preschool teacher, but his talents don’t stop there. In his spare time, he’s a bartender, event assistant, craft master, and just as detail oriented as Megan herself. They’ve been tag teaming events for years, and in Megan’s absence, Josh has even stepped in to run the show solo.
In 2021, Josh married his wife Katie, with Megan proudly serving as his “Best Woman” (see picture!). Their shared passion for planning, executing, and elevating events shines through in everything they do. They pride themselves on exceptional customer service and ensuring every client’s happiness.
